I still remember the first birth I ever witnessed. In that moment, everything became clear to me—I knew I wanted to be a midwife. It wasn’t a passing thought or a distant idea; it was a deep certainty. And I was right. From that day on, I have never looked back. I have now been practicing for over 10 years, working across multiple disciplines within nursing and maternal care. I am trained and experienced in antenatal care, labour and delivery, postnatal care, neonatal care, and broader women’s health. This journey has allowed me to support women through every stage of pregnancy and beyond, always with a focus on safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care.
My career began in the public sector during my community service year, where I worked closely with mothers from all walks of life. That experience shaped me in profound ways. It taught me not only the clinical side of midwifery, but also the importance of presence, empathy, and truly listening. I found myself helping mothers navigate more than just the physical aspects of pregnancy—I was walking with them as they found their own unique journeys into motherhood. As I continued working, I began to notice a gap. Many women were entering pregnancy, labour, and postpartum feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or underprepared—not because they didn’t care, but because they didn’t always have access to the right information, guidance, or support. I knew I wanted to do more.
That is how Welcome Baby was born.

I started Welcome Baby as a platform to support, educate, and empower parents through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is an extension of the work I do as a midwife, but in a way that reaches families beyond the hospital setting. Through antenatal classes, education, and shared resources, my goal is to help parents feel informed, confident, and supported as they step into this new chapter of their lives. At the heart of everything I do is a simple intention: to walk alongside mothers and families, to support them without judgment, and to help them feel prepared for one of the most important journeys they will ever take.
More than a decade later, I am still certain—I chose the right path.
